Not bad for Day 1. The fleece is not too bad to spin with. It feels like a 'Workhorse' though and the Grey reminds me of school jumpers and John Major! I am sure it would felt perfectly for slippers or I have plans to weave with it. I think I have been spoiled with beautiful ready made batts and silk. This feels like a bit of a come down. I am a bit of a 'Hand Spun Diva'! I may alternate bobbins each day as I have a 'Funky Rainbow Experiment' I want to try with the results of a 'Scrap Swap' I did earlier in the year.
On the bright side the 'Slowpot Carrot Cake' experiment was a delicious success. Hooray!

Wow, when did you get the big carder? I used to have one but am not sure what happened to it. I'm proud of what you're doing. Bravo!
ReplyDelete((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I really like the colour of the yarn, I think it's a really pretty shade of grey :)
ReplyDeleteThat carrot cake looks gorgeous and having never cooked cake in a slow cooker before I am rather intrigued as to how you do it....
is that frosting made from the homemade cream cheese too? Looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteTeresa, I have had my carder for a few months now, I love it. I bought it second hand and it does make the fibre lovely and ready to spin.
ReplyDeleteCarole, Thanks it is a nice grey, it depends what mood I am in. I have contemplated plying the technicolour with the grey...hmmmm
Hannonle, I have to confess not my own cream cheese, some that was already in the fridge. I think it would have been even nicer with homemade cheese though :)
