Handspinning - Victory

Here are the results of Saturdays Colour Play Workshop.  My Mom's yarn 'Victory'.  Reds and pinks, analogous colours and green coplimentary.  (Hark at me pretending I know what I am talking about!)
I love the colours for 'Victory'.  We only made a tiny sample skein each and somehow my Mom plied the yarn without her Lazy Kate or a third bobbin.  We really needed someone to do a bit of Navajo plying.  Something else I need to learn.  I think 'Victory' would make a fantastic stripe on a hat!

Her is 'The Lovely Duck' spun and plied, my apologies for the blurred picture.  I am hoping I might have enough to make another little crochet birdie/chicken.

  2. I'm so proud of you! Have you thought of getting a spinning wheel? Plying is so easy as you run the 2 threads back on the bobbin to ply. I wish I wasn't so darn busy and could get my spinning wheel re-strung!

  3. Just beautiful yarn! You will have to make something really special with that yarn. It looks like it would be so much fun to spin. Congratulations on your Victory!! xoRobin❤

I appreciate and enjoy reading all of the feedback from your comments. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and sharing your thoughts. Sadly I have found it necessary to enable word verification, something I was trying to avoid...but I am receiving an unmanageable deluge of Spam! We don't want that do we? xxx :)
