After my holiday indulgence, I felt like I was in danger of quitting my Weight loss regime. I could not make my Weigh in meeting this week but I did drag myself to a different meeting to get weighed and face the truth. I was ready to have a cry in the car afterwards. Ha! 1lb off! What a shocker. Proof that Fish and Chips and Cream Teas are good for you! My total weight loss is now 24.5lbs. I had a pound that really liked me and kept coming back for a few weeks! As I am on my Summer hols there is no excuse not to exercise. I have been starting my day with this woman, Jillian Michaels. I am trying 'The 30 Day Shred'. I really am the most unlikely 'shredder'.
This Jillian woman really likes her 'Jumping Jacks'! There is nothing like a million 'Jumping Jacks' to wake you up in the morning. Thanks Jillian for your fantastic service to mankind! Your a doll!
I have not been 'running' as it hurts! I may try again though as I have purchased some very attractive knee supports from The Pound Shop. They get me through the 'Jumping Jacks'. I have also been trying hard to eat sensibly. I am really enjoying the seasonal Summer fruits nectarines, peaches, strawberries and my favourites cherries, you must try fresh cherries stirred into your porridge, but do remove the stones first!
I have also been trying to get to the park with Euan or to walk the dog. Euan and I watched some Youtube videos of 'Frisbee' champions and now I have delusions of grandeur (again). I asked Euan if he enjoyed our game of 'Frisbee' in the meadows the other night and he replied in his comical, dulcet tone : "Not really, but if it makes you happy I will do it again!" I thought that was a funny role reversal. I do have to remind myself who is the kid and who is the adult! Does anyone else find that being 'on Holiday' is actually more exhausting than not being 'on holiday'? I seem to be busier than ever. xxx

Do you have the Biggest Loser in Great Britain? I have been a fan of Jillian Michaels for a long time. She scares me, but she sure gets results. She isn't on the show anymore and so I don't watch it. You are amazing. 1 pound is still success. You will get there. I lost 150 lbs several years ago. You can do it! I know you can.
ReplyDeleteOh Lucy your determination is wonderful, I'd be hopeless if I had to diet, no willpower at all! I am trying to up my exercise routine during the holidays, haven't yet been running but have been out riding my bike uber fast everyday. We'll be busy walking and cycling around Suffolk for the next fortnight so my fitness should improve! We'll be following your fitness regime too, Fish and Chips and treats!!!!! Enjoy the holidays have fun with your boys, they sound great! x
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work! It takes great effort and determination to lose weight and you've done a marvelous so far. I need to get into an exercise routine myself. Holidays do always seem far too busy! I think it's because we try to do all of the stuff we normally can't do while we have the "extra time." It's kinda screwy but it does make sense. I've said more than once that I needed a vacation to help me recover from my vacation! I'm sure you feel that way right now too. Enjoy yourself in the meantime!

I love Jillian but she is somewhat psychotic in her 30 day shred dvd. I couldn't walk for days after I tried it! Well done for carrying on riding the exercise train and a massive congrats on your 24.5lb weight loss, that is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWell Done. You could be right about the fish and chips. My Son pointed out that a lot of the sponsors of the Olympics are all the company's I will not allow him to eat loads of. So it is my fault he is not a top level sports star. Enjoy the rest of your holidays. Try not to work to hard.
ReplyDeleteLucy, I'm just so proud of you! I got discouraged on weight loss when we went on our trip to DC and we walked for 12 hours a day for 8 days and didn't lose ONE LB! That just blew me away. Dayle and I cracked up on what Euen said. What a kid! Having fun is a lot of work, that's my assessment of vacations. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
